Kaguya-sama : Love is War Season 2 Preview, Release Date, Trailer, Plot, Production, and more!
A new Promotional Video was released for one of the most received Anime of 2019, Kaguya Same : Love is War, today on the Official Twitter Account of the Anime adaptation of “Kaguya-sama: Love is War”, which you can watch below. The new episodes will be broadcast on Japanese television from April 11, 2020.
The Twelve-Part First Season was in the Winter Season 2019 on Japanese television. Studio A-1 Pictures was responsible for the production. The direction was taken over by Mamoru Hatakeyama, while Yasuhiro Nakanishi was responsible for the script and Yuuko Yahiro for the character design. The aforementioned employees will also be involved in the new episodes.
The second season of the anime will be expanding its central quartet with two new key characters joining the season, Miko Iino and Kobachi Osaragi. The voices behind these new additions were previously confirmed as well with Miyu Tomita providing the voice of Miko Iino and Rina Hidaka voicing Kobachi Osaragi. Mamoru Hatakeyama will be returning to direct the new season for A-1 Pictures, and the central cast including Aoi Koga as Kaguya Shinomiya, Makoto Furukawa as Miyuki Shirogane, Konomi Kohara as Chika Fujiwara, and Ryota Suzuki as Yu Ishigami have all been confirmed to return for the new season as well.
The original manga by Aka Akasaka started in Shueisha’s “Miracle Jump” magazine in May 2015, but switched to the “Young Jump” magazine in March 2016. So far, 17 volumes have been published in Japan. In Germany, the series will be published by Egmont Manga from April 2020.
Kaguya-sama: Love Is War (Japanese: かぐや様は告らせたい ～天才たちの恋愛頭脳戦～, Hepburn: Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai – Tensai-tachi no Ren’ai Zunōsen, transl. “Kaguya Wants to be Confessed to: The Geniuses’ War of Hearts and Minds”) is a Japanese seinenmanga series written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka. It started in Shueisha‘s Miracle Jump in May 2015 and was transferred to Weekly Young Jump in March 2016.
As of December 2019, the manga had over 9 million copies in print. In 2020, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War won the 65th Shogakukan Manga Award in the general category.
